A future listing platform for placing older puppies, young adults, retired champions, and more from verified breeders, trainers, & owners.

The problem

People looking for older puppies, young adults, or retired dogs from reputable sources have fewer options than you'd think, even worse if you're the one trying to find one a home. Most platforms ban animal sales outright and existing platforms have other use cases built around young puppies, planned litters, and/or rescues and shelters. If for example, you're looking for a house broken family dog, your best bet is knowing the right people or scrolling through Facebook groups.
As a result, people are left researching on their own, leaving them vulnerable to scams. Placed wants to close this gap.

Our solution

Placed is an upcoming listing website built to make that easier and safer. Every listing comes from a verified source: breeders placing dogs directly, owners rehoming with their breeder's knowledge and involvement (if possible), or trainers placing working dog program washes. No more relying on word of mouth or hoping a Facebook post is trustworthy. Placed also offers guidance for those who know a young puppy isn't right for them but aren't sure where to start or what to look for.

What verification means

Listers will create a profile and submit their dog's registration number from an accepted registry (AKC, UKC, CKC, FCI, KNPV, and so on), a photo of the dog, and other necessary details before the listing goes live. They may also submit optional documents that achieve verification badges. A badge only appears when the relevant document has been reviewed and confirmed, not just uploaded. Personal contact information is never visible unless you choose to share it.
